Moha is a forage grass native from China. Formerly it was cultivated in India, China and Russia, but later its cultivation spread throughout the world.

It is capable of thriving withstanding high temperatures and dry environments due to its short cycles and relatively low water requirements.

Today in Europe and America it is cultivated to be used as fodder, mainly for hay and as food for birds such as quail, songbirds and pigeons.
